I have worked for Southside for eight years. I started as a preschool teacher and now I am an assistant Director. Being a part of a child’s growth and development is incredibly rewarding. Getting to play a role in helping them acquire new skills, build self-confidence, and develop a sense of independence is the best part of my job. Witnessing a child take their first steps, say their first words, or solve a problem for the first time is like watching a tiny miracle unfold before my eyes. Seeing all these amazing moments really warm my heart and my own children get to attend our center which gives me peace of mind as a mom. As childcare providers, we are not just a caregiver, we have a responsibility to guide and mentor too. Our wonderful staff here at Southside Christian provides a source of support and the privilege of helping children build a strong foundation for their future, both academically and emotionally.

I have been working in childcare for the past 12 years and at Southside for the last 3 years, I have never met a director who cares more about her kids and staff. I have made my classroom a home away from home where every child knows they are loved while they are with me. Our Director has done the same thing with the center creating a place where I feel wanted and appreciated. We put a lot of work into making our center the best we can not only for our families but for the staff. We strive to provide the best care and learning environment we can, ensuring a clean and well cared for center as well as fully stocked curriculum and art supplies which allows me to be the best teacher I can be.

Hi, my name is Michael and I have worked for Southside Christian for the past year. What I love most about working here is that they give me the tools I need to teach and be a part of children’s lives. Watching them grow day by day and utilizing the lessons you have taught them to carry them along in life is so satisfying. I like seeing and knowing that I am making an impact on their future.
