What We Do

The Southside Christian company of licensed child care centers is dedicated to providing quality child care to exceed your families expectations. As a member of the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), our centers provide a safe and healthy environment for children to learn and grow. Our goal is to help children reach their absolute highest potential.

We strive to develop lifelong, productive learners for today and the future. Through a structured program, children will experience educational activities including:

Physical Education
Emotional Development
Social Interaction
Cognitive Thinking

Little Dippers: Infant Care

Starting at six weeks, we accept your little bundles into our program. When you enter our nurseries you will find a clean, warm and nurturing environment for your baby to experience. Cribs, sheets, blankets and bottles are individually labeled and only used for your child. The High Reach Program starts with our babies. Baby’s first year is an exciting time with lots of exploration and discovery. Research shows that engaging infants in interactive experiences that involve sensory, motor, and social explorations build brain connections. Activities are integrated across all domains of infant development—physical, emotional, social, and cognitive—and develop a wide variety of skills, including:

Language acquisition
Sense of self
Sensory awareness
Motor skills
Visual tracking
Self-help skills

We start teaching sign language to children as infants and continue throughout their preschool career with Southside Christian Child Care. New parents are always welcome to explore our nurseries and visit frequently.

Big Dippers: Toddler Care

What a wonderful world as our little people begin to explore. Beginning to make leaps and bounds, our toddlers take exploration very seriously. As we lead the children from baby signs to language development and newly acquired motor skills, learning takes off. Our Toddler Curriculum contains teaching and family components that provide a solid foundation from which explorations can be built and extended according to the specific curiosities of the children. All experiences are built to emerge from children’s interests and support individual developmental needs.

Twinkling Stars: Two year old care

Our terrific two’s are on track to higher learning through every movement and the brain is soaking up everything introduced. As we ease the children into a lifetime of learning, we allow them the freedom, to choose their own individual learning path. Our two year old curriculum supports active learning through hands-on play, creates secure connections, and motivates exploration. How precious the journey of a two year old.

School Age Care

Southside Christian Child Care truly believes our kids are in fact our future. Because of that belief we understand the important job we have to positively influence that future. This is not your average school age program. Here, your children will be anything, but bored. They will be inspired, encouraged, and given a unique opportunity to learn about their world. With homework help and many more interesting activities, we know your family will appreciate the peace of mind that your child’s day is complete.

Chapel

Every week, all children in each of our centers attends Chapel. We recognize prayer requests, not only from the children, but from the families, as well. Our children are learning about God’s Love through faith based activities, stories, songs and testament. At Southside Christian, each day affords us the opportunity to share God’s word with the children. We show them that character traits, acts of kindness and being examples of Christ’s love are excellent ways to the pathway of happiness.
