Employees will receive the following training:
1. On-Site Training
- Orientation to Southside Christian Child Care
- Child and Adult Care Food Program Training
- Stars for Kids Now Overview Training
- Licensing Regulations
- Stars for Kids Now Standards
- Environmental Rating Scales
- Scholarship Program
- Monthly Staff Meetings (to include, but not limited to)
- Child Development
- Professionalism
- Program Management
- Health/Safety/Nutrition
- Learning Environment
- Collaboration
2. State Approved Training
- Orientation Training (six hours)
- 15 hours annual training for each staff
- 18 hours annual training for Director Employees are offered the opportunity to receive the following training:
- CPR Training
- First Aid Training
- Option to receive additional State Approved Training Classes (only the cost of class is paid)
- Degree Programs: (Employee must qualify for the Kentucky Early Childhood Scholarship Program) Child Development Associate (CDA) Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Director’s Certificate
